The European PlayStation Network will be offline on Thursday, Aug. 11 starting at 4:05 p.m. to Friday, Aug. 12 at 2 a.m. As routine during maintenance, you will not be able to access the PlayStation Store via your PlayStation 3 or PSP, PSN account management, or PSN account registration. You will be unable to sign in to the PSN through eu.playstation.com, as well.
You can, however, play online so long as you are signed into the PSN prior to the start of maintenance at 4:05 p.m. Thursday. The maintenance will not impact trophy collection and you will be able to sync your trophies when the network returns.
It wasn’t that long ago that a few hours of downtime sunk the hearts of PS3 owners for fears it wouldn’t return again for a month, or so. This is simply schedule maintenance, so there is very little cause for concern.
