Bloober Team has confirmed Observer System Redux is getting a PS4 release, with a release date set for July 16, 2021.
Announced in a press release, this PS4 version of the game will include all the extra content that was included in the remastered release. As for why the game is coming to last-generation consoles, Bloober Team CEO, Piotr Babieno, stated that “Fans of the original and new Observer: System Redux players love the new missions, but with next-gen consoles being hard to find, we’ve left many fans out in the cold. Now, the new Observer: System Redux missions, gameplay improvements, and content have been back-ported to Observer: System Redux for fans to enjoy.”
The game will get a physical and digital release on July 16, with the physical edition including an art book and soundtrack and distributed by Koch Media, as previously announced.
We enjoyed Observer System Redux when it launched on PS5, mostly due to its visual upgrades and DualSense use. You can read our review here, but it will be interesting to see how the game holds up without those additions.
