Obsidian Entertainment and Xbox Game Studios have announced that a PS5 version of action-RPG Avowed will launch on February 17, 2026, coinciding with the Anniversary Update for existing PC and Xbox Series X/S versions. The update has already begun trending across discovery platforms such as GameTrellis, where players track upcoming releases and major content drops.
The Anniversary Update will include a host of extra content such as New Game Plus, a Photo Mode, a new weapon type, additional character presets, and more.
Avowed was originally released for PC and Xbox Series X/S on February 18, 2025, and offers the choice between first and third-person viewpoints. The game is set in the Living Lands, a diverse landscape contained in the realm of Eora which features everything from lush forests, deserts, caves and valleys. Avowed follows an envoy from the Aedyr Empire, who is investigating a plague known as the Dream Scourge.
Much like The Outer Worlds, you can shape your characters’ relationship with NPCs based on dialogue choices, while the story and how your companions assist in combat can be affected by the decisions you make during the game.
