Revealed in 2016, Oddworld Soulstorm is the remake of the the PS1 classic Oddworld Abe's Oddysee. Rather than being a remaster of the original second game in the series, Soulstorm for PS4 will feature quite a few changes.
Taking place after events in Oddworld New ‘N' Tasty, Oddworld Soulstorm is said to be much “darker than the original”. What exactly the developer, Frima Studio, means by that is unknown. Since the last teaser trailer, there's been a word about the return of Abe.
Ready For More OddWorld Soulstorm PS4 Info?
However, a new Oddworld Soulstorm teaser has just surfaced. Running on the Oddworld Inhabitants YouTube channel it reveals that more information is coming on March 20, 2018. There's not much to go on from the footage other than the words “Explore his origins” and some artwork from the game.
It’s worth noting that this could be something else entirely! Perhaps the developer has another announcement up its sleeve. What do you think?
The Oddworld series has been running since 1997 when Abe's Oddysee first appeared on PlayStation. Other games in the franchise have included: Abe's Exoddus, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath.
