Watch the Oddworld Soulstorm trailer
The follow-up to Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty, the remake of ‘90s PS1 classic Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, has just dropped its latest teaser trailer – this one including a release window of ‘Fall 2017’. Whilst it was not known for sure at the time of its announcement last year, Oddworld: Soulstorm has now been confirmed to be a remake of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, the second game in the series, but with some very distinct changes.
Speaking at a developer’s session at this year’s EGX convention, Lorne Lanning revealed that Soulstorm continues on from where New ‘N’ Tasty left off, and will be much darker than previous entries in the series, and will include improved visuals, which Lanning says, “will allow fans to feel a closer connection with characters, giving them more personality.”
