Death Stranding Hideo Kojima Horror Kojima Productions News Overdose PS5 Tom Henderson

Overdose Is Reportedly The Name Of Hideo Kojima’s Upcoming Horror Game

Respected leaker Tom Henderson has shared the first details on Overdose, which is reportedly the name given to Hideo Kojima‘s upcoming horror project. Interestingly, it doesn’t appear this is a sequel to Death Stranding despite comments from Norman Reedus.

According to Henderson’s report on TryHardGuides, he was sent footage via an anonymous source that depicted the actress behind Mama in Death Stranding wearing a blue dress. However, this isn’t apparently Death Stranding 2, as Henderson notes this is simply Margaret Qualley in a different role.

The Overdose teaser showcased the character walking through dark corridors in a third-person perspective, flashlight in hand, although there’s hints that a first-person view is also available. A jump scare ends the video with ‘GAMEOVER’ displayed, followed by ‘A Hideo Kojima Game…OVERDOSE.”

Here’s where things get a bit disappointing, at least for PlayStation gamers. As per pervious rumours by Jeff Grubb regarding a potential deal to have Microsoft publish Hideo Kojima’s next game, Henderson notes that while a deal hasn’t been finalised to his knowledge, it “does seem that is likely to be announced soon.”
