The rumoured Jet Set Radio and Persona 3 remakes have seen a bunch of footage leak online over the weekend.
First up, Twitter user AVtoGAMEnoYAMI posted up a clip of Persona 3’s Yukari firing magical arrows, with the gameplay looking a lot more detailed than what we’ve come to expect from the RPG. Sonic Frontiers is shown next in early preview form, followed by a very brief snippet of Jet Set Radio which features “footage in development” in the corner of the screen.
AVtoGAMEnoYAMI claims that the content originated “from SEGA Japan’s internal meeting held in 2021.” The footage has since been verified by a number of sites, including Gematsu, which commented:
While we cannot verify the footage itself, Gematsu understands that a Persona 3 remake has been in development at Atlus for several years.
Bloomberg reported last year that SEGA was working on rebooting the Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio franchises, while a Persona 3 Remake was reported in September 2022 as being in the works.
