Playdate Creator And Untitled Goose Game Publisher Panic Will Host Its First Showcase This Month

Everyone is doing their own showcases, with the ever-growing list now set to include Panic, the publisher behind games like Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game, and the same company behind the Playdate handheld system.

This new showcase will focus on the games it’ll be publishing through its Panic Games branch, and be approximately 20 minutes, premiering on August 29, 2023 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT / 6pm CEST.

It’ll go live on the studio’s official YouTube channel, and you can catch it below when it does.

Those who are fans of the handheld though won’t be getting any more Playdate news, as this will just focus on the games Panic is publishing in the near future.

One title in particular is something we’ve not been updated on since 2021, and was even marketed alongside the PS5’s launch.

Nour: Play With Your Food will be one of the featured titles we already know about, and hopefully this means a release date, or window at least, is set to be revealed.

In a statement regarding the showcase, co-founder of Panic Cabel Sasser admitted that the company isn’t too well known for its games publishing work, with Playdate and its work developing Mac software taking up more of the spotlight.

“We though it’d be fun to put on a little show and let the world know about the wonderful games we’ve been working on publishing, from amazing developers all around the world. Please tune in, as we’re pretty confident you’ll find a neat game or two that speaks to you.”
