Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced that PlayStation Direct will be hitting European territories, which means you’ll now be able to buy a PS5 direct from the format holder – whenever stock arrives, that is.
It was previously revealed during a job listing that PlayStation Direct would be heading to Europe, following its US launch in September 2019.
PlayStation Direct will launch in the UK, Germany, Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg during the current business year, which wraps March 2022.
Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, commented:
PlayStation Direct has achieved significant revenue in the US market within little more than a year of starting operations. We plan for 300 percent further growth within this fiscal year, helped by our upcoming launch in Europe.
