Capcom News Pragmata Pragmata Release Date Brought Forward PS5

Pragmata Release Date Has Been Moved Up To April 17

Capcom has announced that Pragmata will now released on April 17, 2026, with its release bumped up from the previously-planned April 24 date.

The news was revealed during the Capcom Spotlight event overnight, and marks a rare occasion where a release date is actually brought forward instead of being pushed back.

Pragmata was originally announced back in 2020 prior to the release of the PS5, and is powered by the RE Engine, Capcom’s proprietary tech that has been used to power many of its major releases since Resident Evil VII: Biohazard in 2017. The game takes place on a research station on the moon, and follows spacefarer Hugh and his android companion, Diana, as they battle against a hostile AI and find a way to return to Earth.

The game uses a unique combat system that sees Diana, who is perched on Hugh’s back, hacking enemies to exploit their weakness; only then can the player properly damage enemies using Hugh’s conventional weaponry. We played the game twice last year, so be sure to read our impressions here and here.
