Retailer ShopTo has posted a listing for Prey VR for the PSVR, suggesting Bethesda is planning on bringing the game to Sony’s virtual reality gaming headset.
Prey VR Release Listed
Unsurprisingly, the listing has now been deleted, but not before folk were able to spot it on Reddit. The game was up for pre-order for £44.85, although a release date wasn’t mentioned. The fact it’s been pulled suggests that Bethesda didn’t want the game leaking ahead of an official reveal, though.
Prey was released back in May 2017 and received two expansions in the shape of Mooncrash and Typhon Hunter. It’s curious that the game has been listed exclusively for the PSVR, seeing as how Prey is also out on PC and Xbox One.
Bethesda has toyed with VR versions of its back catalogue in recent years, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and 2016’s DOOM. Is Prey next on the agenda? We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
