Prince Of Persia The Lost Crown Hits 2 Million Players As Ubisoft Hints There’s More To Come From The Franchise

Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has reached two million players globally, and offered a hint that we’ve not see the last of the franchise.

Taking to social media, the company wrote, “Well over 2M players by now. You’ve revived the legend. The Prince is back, and believe us – he’s just warming up.”

Back in January this year it was reported that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown had moved in the region of 1.3 million units during its first year on sale. In October 2024, Larian Studios’ Michael Douse touched on the perceived low sales of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, stating the game’s lack of major success as down to poor management at Ubisoft.

That same month, Ubisoft revealed that most of the team behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown had moved to other projects. This was a direct response to previous reports that a sequel to the game had been rejected and its production team disbanded.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in January 2024. You can read our review here.
