Project Gemini Development Looks To Continue As People Can Fly Secures Short-Term Content Rider

People Can Fly has entered into a short-term content rider to ensure the continued development of Project Gemini, which is set to be published by Square Enix.

Not much is known about Project Gemini at this point, other than it’s a work-for-hire model and is pencilled in for release in 2026. The news comes only about a week after it was reported that People Can Fly had suffered layoffs, with 30 people losing their jobs at the company. Furthermore, a number of employees working on Project Gemini were moved to other projects, with the team reduced to around 20.

Back in May 2022, People Can Fly revealed that the studio had a total of five new games in developments, including Project Gemini. The others are Project Dagger, Bifrost, Victoria and RED, although in the case of Project Dagger, it was confirmed in September 2022 that Take-Two had terminated its publishing agreement with the Bulletstorm developer.
