Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that Capcom’s classic survival horror title Dino Crisis is joining the PS Plus Catalog alongside Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain in the near future.
Both games were confirmed to be joining the format holder’s subscription service during State of Play yesterday evening, and will be available to PS Plus Premium members (they’re both PSOne games after all). Dino Crisis has long been rumoured to be heading to PS Plus, and since Capcom doesn’t seem all that bothered about the franchise nowadays, it’s at least good to see the 1999 original get a new lease of life.
Legacy of Kain fans have double reason to celebrate however, as in addition to the above news, Aspyr Media is releasing Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered later this year.

Speaking of Dino Crisis, creator Shinji Mikami recently said that he doesn’t feel there’s room for the franchise with Monster Hunter’s success, despite the fact they are two completely different series. Dino Crisis, after all, is essentially Resident Evil with dinosaurs, something Monster Hunter blatantly is not.
Furthermore, Capcom’s Super Elections revealed earlier this year that fans very much want to see Dino Crisis make a comeback, although who knows if it’ll ever happen.
