Sony is offering a new PS Plus deal for those of you looking to snap up a quick bargain ahead of the impending price hike for the subscription-based service.

Head over to the European PlayStation Store right now, and you’ll be able to pick up a 15-month subscription for the price of 12 months, meaning you’ll pay just £39.99.

You’ll have to be quick though, as the PS Plus deal is only valid from August 14 – August 29. It’ll automatically renew once the membership has run out, by which point you’ll be paying the increased subscription cost (if you want to renew, that is).

Sony will be increasing the annual price of PS Plus to £49.99 from late August in Europe, while also introducing an incremental price hike for other membership options. Be sure to check out full details on how to check when your subscription ends and how to turn-off the auto renew.

PlayStation Plus was introduced back in summer 2010 as a premium service for PS3 users, offering free games on a monthly basis and other membership bonuses. However, while online gaming was still a free service, starting with the PS4 Sony made PS Plus mandatory for those who want to enjoy multiplayer gaming.
