Capcom Leon Kennedy News Resident Evil 9 Resident Evil Requiem

PS Store Resident Evil Requiem Artwork Seemingly Confirms Leon Kennedy Is Returning

Capcom is still keeping mum about the inclusion of fan-favourite Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem, but a new piece of artwork for the game on the PlayStation Store all but confirms the Raccoon City survivor will be appearing in the upcoming survival horror sequel.

The image itself showcases Grace Ashcroft and the game’s logo, but she’s also joined by Leon’s portrait in the background, who is looking a little more weary than we’ve come to remember him as by this point. Of course, he’s been through a lot by this point, and he’s a lot older now than the young, slightly wet-behind-the-ears rookie cop he was back in 1998.

This is far from the first time we’ve heard about Leon appearing in the game, as insider Dusk Golem has stated on many occasions that the character would be featured in Requiem. However, Capcom said back in November that any previous images and leaks about Leon’s inclusion in the game were fake, although this latest development looks to be the real deal.

Resident Evil Requiem is slated for release on PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S on February 27, 2026. Last week, brief new footage of the game appeared online from a Japanese TV special on the series, which depicted Grace battling zombies.
