PS Vita update 3.70 is now available to download. The system software update is also available for PlayStation TV.

It’s nothing particular exciting as the latest patch is simply a system software update to improve performance.

In other Vita news, Sony plans to drop support of PS Vita games for those with PlayStation Plus subscriptions. Usually, subscribers get a free Vita game each month, but that stops in March 2019.

Sony confirmed the news on the PlayStation Blog:

“In this occasion, we would like to inform that the provisions of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita content through PS Plus’ Free Play will end as of March 8, 2019,” Sony said in a note posted on PlayStation Blog.

“As for content that has been added to your Library before the above end date, as long as you are still under a subscription to PS Plus, you will still be able to enjoy them without any limitations in time or play amount. (Note: this excludes content which is no longer published on PlayStation Store)

PS Plus will continue to provide various services that satisfy consumers from here on. We sincerely hope to be honored with your understanding.”

Sadly, production of PlayStation Vita also ends this year, and there’s no word on whether PS Vita 2 will ever see the light the day.

Despite the lack of support for Vita on PS Plus, there’s still regularly PS Vita releases each week on the PlayStation Store. This includes the recent release of the Atari Flashback Classics.
