The studio behind Nazi-blasting FPS Wolfenstein: The New Order has said it has been less of a challenge to develop across PlayStation 4 and Xbox One than it was during the previous hardware cycle.
Speaking with TechRadar, MachineGames’ Andreas Ojerfors suggested it was far more difficult to produce a title for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
“There was a much bigger difference in making a game for both PS3 and Xbox 360 back in the day than what it is now,” he said.
“The new platforms are much, much more similar to work with than what we’re used to. So it is less of a challenge this time than it has been before.”
Wolfenstein: The New Order is out this week for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The game runs at a silky-smooth 1080p/60fps for Sony and Microsoft’s latest home consoles.
