PS4 Won’t Turn On 5 Solutions

Step 1- Reconnect the power cable

  1. Unplug the power cable from your PS4.
  2. Next, wait for at least 30 seconds.
  3. Then, plug the power cable back into your console.
  4. Finally, press the power button and see if this works. If not, proceed to step 2.

Step 2- Clean the dust and other dirt in your PS4

  1. Open the top plate of your PS4.

  3. Finally, turn it on and if did not work, try step 3.

Step 3- Insert a disk into your PS4

  1. PS4 detects disk inserted and might start automatically.
  2. First, plug the power cable.
  3. Then slowly insert the disk to the PS4 until it turns on.
  4. If it turned on, pull the disk out. If not, proceed to step 4.

Step 4- Rebuild the PS4 database

  1. Connect controller to PS4 using USB cable.
  2. Then, press and hold the power button until it makes second beep sound. It will beep once.
  3. Next, release the power button and you will see that your console is in safe mode.
  4. Finally, select Rebuild Database and wait for the process to finish.
