If your PS5 controller is not connecting properly, there are a number of things you can do to fix the problem.

  1. Try synching the PS5 DualSense again by connecting it to your console using a USB cable and then press the PS Button.
  2. Remove any accessories that are connected to your DualSense, including headphone or headsets.
  3. The PS5 may need updating, so make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your console.
  4. You can try a soft reset on your DualSense by turning off the console (hold down the power button) or use another pad to turn it off via system settings.
  5. If all else fails, you may need to perform a factor reset. To do this, get a straightened paperclip (or other appropriate object) and locate the Reset button on the back of the PS5 DualSense in the small hole — gently push this button to reset your pad.
