Sony has confirmed that you can switch off the DualSense controller‘s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Sony Confirms Accessibility Features For PS5
Speaking in a post on the Sony Interactive Entertainment website, the company revealed that the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers’ force can be reduced or outright disabled if you so desire.
In addition, PS5 players will be able to reduce or disable the force of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense wireless controller. PS5 will also include improved audio enhancements to provide players with better spatial awareness.
The DualSense controller is a massive evolution over the DualShock 4 pad, with the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers offering a greater level of immersion for games than what was previously achievable on consoles.
Sony also revealed that the DualSense can be used to play PS4 games on the PS5 via backwards compatibility (as well as the DualShock 4, obviously).
