After only hearing about it discussed in rumour mills, the PS5 Pro has finally been revealed (officially) by Sony, with PS5 architect Mark Cerny being the one to kick things off in a 9-minute technical presentation about the console.
While Cerny answered a lot of questions, there were still answers players wanted to hear about the mid-gen refresh. Thankfully that’s where a PlayStation Blog post published after the presentation came in.
In case you were wondering, yes, the PS5 Pro is compatible with all current PS5 accessories.
“PS5 Pro fits perfectly within the PS5 family of products and is compatible with the PS5 accessories currently available, including PlayStation VR2, PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Access controller, Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore,” the post reads.
So no need for concern that you’ll have to upgrade some other accessory or part of your setup, if you’re planning to upgrade from your PS5 to the Pro model.
