Amazon and Best Buy have posted up placeholder listings for the PS5 Pro ahead of its launch in November.
Preorders for Sony’s high-end console, which was announced last week during a special technical presentation from Mark Cerny, will go live on October 10, 2024. However, PlayStation Direct is launching its own preorders a bit earlier on September 26.

The PS5 Pro is a more powerful version of the standard console that launched back in 2020, and offers improved resolution and frame rates for both PS5 and PS4 titles. Its design is smaller than the regular PS5 but is a little larger than the slim model, but does not ship with a disc drive; if you want to play physical games, you have to purchase the standalone Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.
One of the biggest features is the PS5 Pro Enhanced label, which is aimed at providing a major performance improvement to games such as 60 FPS. Meanwhile, the Game Boost is compatible with over 8,500 backwards compatible PS4 games.
