When the PS5 was first shown, besides its odd design, what struck people about it was how huge the actual console was, and that shock lasted even when players had the console in their hands.
Then we got the PS5 Slim, which, among other things made the console smaller. Now, we have the PS5 Pro, which was finally revealed after months and months of it being discussed only in rumours and reports.
So now that the PS5 Pro has been officially inducted into the PlayStation family of consoles, and the original PS5 was the biggest home console ever made, where does the Pro sit?
Unsurprisingly the Pro is not bigger than the original PS5 – but it is a bit bigger than the PS5 Slim, so that’s something. The news was confirmed in a hands-on preview of the PS5 Pro from CNET, where it seems being completely slim did not line up with being professional in the case of the PS5 Pro.
The slight difference in size thankfully doesn’t have any ramifications for the console’s accessories, since Sony confirmed that the PS5 Pro is compatible with all current PS5 accessories.
