The PS5 Trophy unlock sound, visual, and screenshots system have all changed and we have the first look at what it looks like thanks to Kinda Funny.

Whilst the ping and visual don’t look dramatically different to PS4, it looks like it appears in the top right corner this time, instead of the top left. But, when taking a screenshot as the trophy unlocks, PS5 will give you a lead-in before the trophy pops and a cool graphic banner at the bottom of the screen showing the trophy level, image, and name of the trophy. This will all lead to more memorable trophy unlock moments and hopefully better screenshots.

You can watch Kinda Funny’s video below:

Alongside this change, PS5 trophies also will update with new level icons, providing a nice visual update alongside the trophy changes which arrived earlier this month. PS5 Trophies will also track your progress.

The PS5 releases on November 12, 2020, in the US and November 19, 2020, in the UK and EU.
