PS5 Was Lead Platform For Resident Evil Requiem Sales In US During February

Circana’s Mat Piscatella has revealed that the PS5 was the lead platform for Resident Evil Requiem sales in the US during the month of February 2026.

The analyst noted that PS5 was below 50% of Requiem’s full game dollar sales in the month, but was still the lead platform by a “meaningful margin” over the PC version of the survival horror title. Piscatella added that the full results will be revealed on Friday.

Resident Evil Requiem was released on February 27, 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. Capcom announced earlier this week that the game has sold six million copies worldwide, becoming the fastest-selling entry in the franchise. Furthermore, the studio is also working on additional content for Requiem, including a story expansion and Photo Mode, the former of which is expected to feature Leon Kennedy.

Capcom is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil later this year, and it is heavily rumoured that the Japanese developer is working on remakes of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero for 2027 and 2028, respectively,
