PS5 has been given a release window for China, with the console set to launch in Q2 2021.
Revealed by Daniel Ahmad on Twitter, Sony confirmed the plans recently and also released a Chinese New year greetings video to announce the news, with SIE Shanghai President, Tatsuo Eguchi.
This comes after the console launched in most of the world this past November and has been sold out almost everywhere since then, with consoles hard to find online. We reviewed the PS5 last November and was thoroughly impressed by its suite of tech upgrades, unique features, and more. You can read our review here.
It isn’t clear whether these supply issues with the console will cause shortages in China, but with reports that the supply situation is set to get worse, those in China may have a harder time finding a PlayStation 5 than those of us in the West.
