Reports have been escalating over the last few hours that the PlayStation Network is down and inaccessible for many users on PS3, PS3 and PS Vita.
Indeed, a quick glance at the PSN down detector shows that the bulk of reports came in around 8am BST. However, from 9am BST the PSN appears to be slowly coming back online for many. Checking our UK account, PSU can now access the PlayStation Network with no issues.
At the moment we have no idea what has caused the outage, and the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account has remained silent during what appears to be around two hours of downtime. No official maintenance was planned.
