According to users who are participating on the PS4 update 4.50 beta, Sony has discreetly added improvements to the PSVR cinematic mode as part of the PlayStation VR update 2.40.

Reddit user ‘Chrislawrance’ noted improvements to the cinema mode, stating, “Tested it in 3D using Avatar and it was really clear. Not quite TV clear but definitely better. Could easily use it as a 2nd screen without feeling like you are losing out. It’s hard to describe how it’s improved. The edging just seems smoother I guess.”

As well as improving PSVR games, then those who enjoy PSVR porn should benefit from the improvement.

Another user added: Cinema mode resolution definitely improved but I’m a little disappointed by the overall effect of the 3D compared to watching through the TV with a pair of passive glasses. The depth just isn’t as effective and to be honest I couldn’t tell I was in 3D all the time.

The upcoming PS4 update 4.50 adds a wealth of new additions to Sony’s flagship home console, chief among which includes external storage support and custom wallpapers. Furthermore, there’s also a new PS4 Pro Boost Mode, which enhances gameplay for PS4 PRo games that have yet to be patched for the high-end machine.

PSVR was released in October 2016 and supports a wide variety of titles, including Resident Evil 7: biohazard, Ace Combat 7, Tekken 7, Gran Turismo Sport, plus its own unique exclusives such as Batman: Arkham VR, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and DriveClub VR.
