Capcom has announced that a Resident Evil 3 remake demo is dropping for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on Mach 19, and will be followed by a beta for Resident Evil Resistance on March 27.
Resident Evil 3 Remake Demo & Resistance Beta Dated
The demo will take place on Raccoon City’s streets, where Jill Valentine will have to battle her way through hordes of shambling zombies while exploring the decaying city. You’ll have your own weapons to help you through, but keep an eye out for explosive barrels and other handy bits and pieces dotted around the environment to give you an extra bit of firepower.
This isn’t the first time Jill has had to deal with the undead, having lived through the horrors of the incident in the Arklay Mountains. Sometimes it helps to put yourself in her shoes for a moment and think about how she’d deal with a situation. How many bullets do you have left?
What enemies are you willing to fight? Is it better to power through and risk injury, or is it better to hold your ground? If you want to see the end of the demo, you’ll have to think about how to best use the resources you have.
Meanwhile, the Resident Evil Resistance beta will give you a chance to team up with three other survivors and escape one of the Mastermind’s twisted experiments. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can plump to take control of the Mastermind and unleash your malevolent side by subjecting the survivors to all manner of dastardly tricks and traps.
Resident Evil 3 remake is scheduled for release on April 3 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, with Resident Evil Resistance coming packaged alongside it.
