Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold seven million copies worldwide nearly a year after its initial release.
Here’s what the studio had to say on the official Resident Evil 4 Remake Twitter account:
Resident Evil 4 has sold over seven million copies! Guess there’s only one thing to say at a time like this. Heh heh heh… thank you.
Resident Evil 4 Remake was released for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023. You can have a gander at our full verdict on the game here.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is a from-the-ground-up overhaul of Shinji Mikami’s 2005 horror classic, which at the time revolutionised the franchise with a new over-the-shoulder viewpoint and fully 3D backgrounds, replacing the static pre-rendered environments of older games.
Set in the autumn of 2004, Resident Evil 4 sees Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, dispatched to rural Europe to rescue the President’s kidnapped daughter, Ashley.
