Resident Evil 4 Remake Sales Top 5 Million Worldwide

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold five million units worldwide since its launch in March 2023, bringing lifetime sales of the franchise to over 142 million.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was an instant success upon launch, shifting three million copies in just two days. Looking ahead, Capcom has plans to release a PSVR 2 mode for the game, and it is heavily rumoured that it will also release new DLC in the form of Separate Ways, which features Ada Wong as a playable character.

Separate Ways was featured in the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4, and sees players playing as Ada as she conducts her own investigation of the village parallel to Leon’s mission. Hopefully this also means we’ll get to play as Ada in The Mercenaries, as she’s currently missing from the roster.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is now available for PS5, PS4, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. You can read our full review here.
