Resident Evil 7 Steelbook Edition is exclusive to GAME UK

GAME UK has announced that it’s nabbed exclusive rights to the Resident Evil 7 Steelbook Edition.

Available to pre-order now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this edition of the upcoming survival horror title features an exclusive steelbook (as you’d expect), plus access to the Survival Pack: Action Set DLC, which includes various in-game items such as .44 Magnum ammunition and the Madhouse Mode.

Previously, GameStop Italy outed a Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition, which features a model replica of the Baker household, plus various other extra content. It does not, however, featured a copy of the game as standard. No word yet on if this is available in the U.K.

Resident Evil 7 release date confirmed for January 2017

Capcom announced Resident Evil 7: biohazard during Sony’s E3 2016 presentation, where it also revealed that the title will be playable from start to finish in PlayStation VR. The survival horror sequel is scheduled for release on January 24, 2017 in the U.S. and Europe.

Resident Evil 7 is set a few years after the events of the action-packed Resi 6, and introduces a new character in the shape of Ethan, a regular Joe who finds himself investigating a mysterious plantation mansion in Louisiana, U.S. Here, the stumbles across the Baker family; a group of cannibalistic and seemingly immortal group of adversaries who stalk his every movement throughout the estate as Ethan searches for his missing wife.

Capcom has been releasing a series of brief Resident Evil 7 gameplay videos over the past few weeks, so be sure to hit up our previous article to see them all in one place. The game’s playable demo is expected to receive one final update in December, although Capcom previously confirmed the contents of the teaser won’t be featured in the final game
