Resident Evil CODE Veronica & Resident Evil Outbreak Remasters Hinted At In Updated Game Artwork

Capcom recently updated its Resident Evil History page with some artwork for Resident Evil CODE: Veronica and Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2, which appears to be have been spruced up considerably, leading to speculation a remaster of those games may be on the cards.

Images for the likes of zombie hyenas and the alligator from Resident Evil Outbreak clearly show they’ve been improved greatly from their PS2 days, likewise for some art for Code Veronica.

There’s a chance that this could represent a remaster of those games, but that’s just speculation. However, we’ve already got a high-definition version of Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X with improved models and lighting, so I’m not sure if Capcom would go to the trouble of revisiting the game.

Now, Resident Evil Outbreak and Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 on the other hand, those could very well be remastered. They’ve only ever seen the light of day on PS2, and both game have dedicated fanbase that would love to see them remastered.

Still, for now there’s always the fan-made Resident Evil CODE: Veronica demake, which reimagines the game as a PSOne-era title.

Capcom is reportedly working on a Resident Evil 4 remake, with recent reports claiming it may be announced this year and will feature quite a few alternations to the original game.
