Capcom announced today that the Resident Evil franchise has eclipsed 40 million sales globally since its inception in 1996.
The Japanese software giant also confirmed that it has shipped approximately four million copies of Resident Evil 5 to retailers, with the demo – available on PS3 and Xbox 360 – topping the four million downloads mark since its release in early February.
Resident Evil 5 hit stores on March 13 – expect a review from us later this week, as well as a little something extra to celebrate the series’ 13th anniversary.
