According to the chaps at VG247, Sony is planning on lifting the curtains on a premium PlayStation Network service at next month’s E3 convention in Los Angeles.
Apparently, platform holder plans to make available a series of new features at an annual cost of "less than £50," and subscribers will also be offered one free PSN game a month based on a specific selection of titles.
Crucially, however, the source states that the premium service won’t "gimp regular PSN users,” which suggests that online gaming will remain free. Furthermore, it claims that Sony is also planning a streaming music service, though it remains unknown as to whether or not this would be included in the premium initiative.
Keep in mind that nothing has been officially announced as of yet, so we’ll file this under rumor just to be safe. Stay tuned for more info as we get it.
