According to U.S. magazine Game Informer, cheeky treasure hunter Nathan Drake could be gearing up for some pint-sized adventuring in the form of an Uncharted spin-off romp for PSP2.
The publication doesn’t offer much of any details on the project, but claims Drake’s portable outing could be with us by “holiday 2011.”
"The developers we talked to described the PSP2 as a very powerful machine," the report reads, adding: "We’ve even heard that a new Uncharted spin-off – which could even stand in for a full-on Uncharted 3 – is in the works."
GI goes on to state that the possibility of an Uncharted title for the PSP successor "speaks to how powerful the graphics capabilities are for the handheld".
And from what we’ve heard, PSP2 is certainly packing some serious muscle under its hood, with the handheld supposedly capable of churning out visuals on par with early PS3 games.
In related news, the next instalment in the critically acclaimed franchise – Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception – will be making a running-jump on to PS3 on November 1, 2011.
