A report on Insider Gaming has stated that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will not feature any DLC or multiplayer, nor are there any plans to offer such content even if the game is a major success.
Ubisoft will make this official during the April 23 reveal of the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, which is billed as a “pure story-driven adventure” with the studio wanting to focus on Edward Kenway’s adventure. As a result, no DLC or multiplayer component will be featured in the remake, but new story elements and other content would be included instead.
However, the report adds that the original version of Black Flag and its accompanying DLC will still remain available, so it doesn’t seem like Ubisoft is planning on delisting anything related to the 2013 edition. Furthermore, there is reportedly at least one more Assassin’s Creed remake project in development, and future remakes will enter production depending on how well Black Flag Resynced performs.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag featured a multiplayer component that built on the previous games’ online mode, although sadly didn’t feature the game’s trademark naval combat. This mode received various DLC packs, and the main game was expanded with Freedom Cry, a new adventure that features Adéwalé as a playable character and was later released as a standalone adventure.
While an official release date for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has yet to be revealed, Insider Gaming reported last week that the game is out on July 9.
