According to leaker TheGhostOfHope, Infinity Ward’s next Call of Duty game, which is reportedly set to be Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, will incorporate omnimovement and wall running mechanics.
Both of these gameplay mechanics are supposedly also going to feature in next year’s Call of Duty game, which has yet to be officially revealed. However, the leaker also claims that MW4 will include remastered maps from 2011’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, as well as brand new maps.

TheGhostofHope added that these details are subject to change due to a variety of factors including feedback, as the title is still obviously still two years away. The tipster also claimed that developer Infinity Ward is looking to avoid repeating the same mistakes it made with the last Call of Duty Modern Warfare game, which was heavily criticised for being a glorified expansion pack.
Back in May it was revealed via two dataminers that Call of Duty 2026 is known as Project Devilwood and takes place during the same timeline as Call of Duty Ghosts. Modern Warfare 4 wasn’t mentioned specifically during this leak, but it was claimed Infinity Ward is behind the game.
This year’s entry in the franchise, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, launched in late October for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
