FromSoftware will showcase the much-anticipated Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree during The Game Awards 2023, where a release date for the expansion will also be announced.
That’s at least according to Elden Ring leaker and YouTuber Ziostorm, who warned that their sources are unverified, so it’s best to file this under a cautious rumour for the time being. Having said that, they added that Shadow of the Erdtree is expected to launch on February 5, 2024, which would put it out about two years since the launch of Elden Ring.
Unverified sources are telling me that Elden Ring DLC is planned to be shown at The Game Awards with a release date of February 5th, 2024. These sources have shown signs of insight, but nothing concrete. Consider this just a rumor for now.
Back in May, modder Lance McDonald claimed that FromSoftware had scrapped plans for an Elden Ring Season Pass featuring two DLC drops in favour of the single Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Elden Ring was released in February 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Bandai Namco announced earlier this year that Elden Ring had sold 20.5 million copies worldwide.
