Sony Santa Monica Studio is reportedly working on new God of War content, which may include DLC for God of War Ragnarok or even a half-sequel.
That’s according to ViewerAnon, who was responding on Twitter to an IGN article regarding half-sequels being the future of AAA game releases.

Furthermore, a job listing posted by the studio back in August for a combat designer mentioned an “unannounced project,” and specifically mentioned knowledge for the last two God of War games.
God of War Ragnarok was released in November 2022 for PS5 & PS4, and was a huge success both critically and commercially. As such, it’s very unlikely that Sony would want to rest the franchise for a lengthy period of time. For now though, an official announcement has yet to be made.
