Rumour — Xbox Unlikely To Have Exclusives Going Forward, Which Means Fable May Come To PlayStation

WindowsCentral’s Jez Cordon has suggested that Xbox is not going to have full exclusive games going forward, and as such has indicated that games such as Fable may come to PlayStation platforms down the road.

Speaking on X in response to the lineup of Xbox Series X/S titles scheduled for release in 2025 (some of which are admittedly third-party like DOOM The Dark Ages), Cordon said, “Xbox won’t have exclusives going forward. Everything is timed exclusive at most.”

When someone chimed in stating that there would be ‘no way’ Fable would come to PlayStation, he added: “That game was monstrously expensive. It might not be day one, but it’ll come with the current plan in place imo. If some games are exclusive it’s gonna be incidental at best, the “case by case” argument is by and large going to be multiplat, timed, and with maybe a few (very few) outliers.”

While this is all speculation on Cordon’s part, Microsoft has already made a number of its previous exclusives available on rival formats, and is continuing to do so in 2025 with the PS5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Back in October, an executive at Microsoft said that Project Latitude (the name of the process of bringing Xbox titles to other consoles) is not on pause, and will continue to bring ‘content to new platforms.’
