Liquid Swords has followed up on its confirmation that Samson will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this fall, telling TheGameBusiness that the noir action game will launch for consoles in September 2026.
Christofer Sundberg, Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Liquid Swords, admitted to the website that the launch of Samson for PC hasn’t gone quite as smoothly as the team hoped for, conceding it arrived with too many bugs and overall lack of polish. However, the developer is looking to fix these problems, noting the reception is “starting to become more positive.”
“The launch has gone a bit so-so,” he said. “The game suffered from way too many bugs and a lack of polish. We’re correcting it almost daily now. The reception is starting to become more positive. For us, it was just a must to get the game out. But any game released in this day and age is a success.”
We are releasing new updates and patches weekly. It will be what most expected it to be. And we are releasing it on console in September. By that time, I don’t think we will have many new features, but we’ll definitely work on polishing.
Samson was released for the PC earlier this month and will arrive for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in September 2026.
