Sega shutting down multiple offices across Europe, Australia

Sega Europe today reported the closing of several offices located across Europe and Australia, as a result of shifting business strategies.

Offices in France, Germany, Spain, Australia and Benelux have now been closed due to losses suffered by the Japanese software company over the last couple of years, which forced Sega to “restructure.”

The former hardware manufacturers have now appointed Koch Media to assist distribution over Germany, Austria, France, Spain, and Switzerland. Additionally, Level03 Distribution will distribute in Benelux and Australia, helped by 5 Star Games. These structural changes will go into effect on July 1.
