Definitive Films has released the teaser trailer for its upcoming documentary based on SEGA’s cult favorite Shenmue franchise.
A Gamer’s Journey: The Definitive History of Shenmue is the brainchild of Adam Sipione and has been in development well before Shenmue III’s official announcement at E3 2015.
Check out the teaser below. Shenmue III has currently gained just over $4.3 million on Kickstarter with 11 days of the campaign left to go. The game is being developed by Ys Net and headed by series creator, Yu Suzuki, with a projected release date of December 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC.
Shenmue III became the fastest video game project on Kickstarter to hit $1 million, and reached its goal of $2 million in under 24 hours. Suzuki-san recently confirmed that a physical PS4 release is now one of the rewards available to backers.
Corey Marshall has confirmed that he will reprise his role as protagonist Ryo Hazuki in the sequel.
