Speaking during an interview with Kinda Funny Games, former Sony Interactive Entertainment indie boss Shuhei Yoshida has revealed why he thinks the format holder hasn’t done anything with the Bloodborne franchise since it launched nearly a decade ago.
Yoshida-san, who departed Sony earlier this week and is now voicing a character in Kaizen Game Works’ new project, revealed that he thinks Bloodborne creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is still interested in the franchise, but as he’s so busy he can’t commit to it himself right now.
Miyazaki-san really really loved Bloodborne, what he created. So I think he is interested but he’s so successful and so busy so he can not do it himself and he doesn’t want anyone else to touch it. So that’s my theory and the PlayStation team respects his wish.
