Silent Hill Event Has Been Shared On Social Media By Ex-Team Silent Devs

Konami’s announcement of a Silent Hill event for this week has set a lot of tongues wagging, but it’s generated even more excitement due to the fact two previous members of Team Silent – that’s the development outfit responsible for the first four core entries – have shared the news online.

Both Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito shared the Silent Hill event news on social media, who fans will no doubt recognise as the series composer and creature designer, respectively. Naturally, this has got fans speculation that of if not both of them will be involved in whatever new Silent Hill games Konami has it its sleeves.

Speaking of which, we have a lot previous reports as to what could be in store. First of all, there’s a brand new Silent Hill game that will continue the mainline series, which hasn’t seen anything released since 2012’s Silent Hill Downpour.

Next, we’re supposedly also getting a Silent Hill 2 Remake from Bloober Team, although the company hasn’t said anything official at this point. Finally, there’s also supposedly an episodic Silent Hill game in the works, which may or may not be related to Silent Hill: The Short Message that was rated in Korea.

The Silent Hill event will be broadcast on October 19, 2022 at 10.00pm BST.
