Skull And Bones Is ‘Well On The Way’ Says Ubisoft, But No Word On Release Date

Speaking during Ubisoft’s first quarter earnings call overnight, the company’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, touched base on the long-delayed Skull and Bones, saying the game is ‘well on the way’ following reports that the pirate romp has been rebooted.

Skull And Bones Update From Ubisoft

For the two games, Gods and Monsters and Skull and Bones, they are well on the way and they are performing very well, so we are very happy with the way it’s going on those two games.

That’s all Guillemot would say on the game, but it’s at least proof enough that Skull and Bones hasn’t been forced to walk the plank and Ubisoft and is still on the horizon.

Ubisoft announced Skull and Bones back at E3 2017, revealing a project clearly inspired by the naval conflicts in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The game was initially pencilled in for a late 2018, but the project was pushed back continuously, with Ubisoft slowly going quiet on any further updates.

This sparked fears that Skull and Bones had been cancelled, although fortunately that’s not the case. Still, we’re still no closer to finding out a release date for the game.
