Ubisoft will release Skull & Bones on February 16, 2024, the company announced during a new trailer at The Game Awards 2023. The date was previously rumoured last month, but it’s only now that we have it confirmed.
Skull & Bones has been delayed numerous times since its official unveiling back at E3 2017, with the game originally targeting a Fall 2018 launch. It’s been pushed back six times in total, and prior to the date announcement today, Ubisoft confirmed that it would arrive at some point in late 2023 – early 2024. So, it’s not too far off now, although quite how it’ll shape up is anyone’s guess right now.
Skull & Bones’ origins can be traced back to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, as it was originally conceived as DLC for that game. However, the project evolved into its own separate experience unrelated to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
