SEGA has confirmed that it will release three major DLC drops for Sonic Frontiers in 2023, which will include new playable characters and story content. The company is also using the game as a foundation for future entries in the franchise, according Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka.
Sonic Frontiers attracted much controversy pre-release due to the poorly perceived state of the general gameplay and visuals, so much so that it started trending on Twitter for the game to be delayed.
